Car
If you are driving, start from the center of Dzungarian Basin and head towards Ulaanbaatar. Follow the main road signs leading to Ulaanbaatar. Once you reach Ulaanbaatar, continue driving towards the BGD - 16 khoroo area. Keep an eye on your GPS or map app and navigate to the coordinates (47.9231136, 106.8949841). There is usually street parking available near the monastery.
Public Transportation
To reach Gandantegchinlen Monastery via public transport, first find a bus that goes to Ulaanbaatar from your location in the Dzungarian Basin. Upon arriving in Ulaanbaatar, you can take a taxi or a local minibus (also known as a 'microbus') that goes towards BGD - 16 khoroo. The taxi ride should cost around 3,000 to 5,000 MNT, while the microbus fare will be significantly cheaper at around 500 MNT.
