Car
Start from the center of Khar Nuur and head northwest on the main road (Route 1). Continue for about 40 kilometers until you reach a signed fork in the road. Take the right fork toward Zavkhan and follow the signs for Har Nuur Lake. The lake is approximately 20 kilometers from the fork. Be cautious of wildlife and road conditions as you approach.
Public Transportation
From Khar Nuur, head to the local bus station. Look for a minibus heading towards Zavkhan. The fare is usually around 3,000 MNT. Once you reach Zavkhan, you will need to hire a local taxi or arrange a shared ride to Har Nuur, which should cost approximately 10,000 MNT. The taxi ride will take about 30 minutes.
Walking
If you're starting from the nearest area to Har Nuur, you can walk to the lake by following the path north from Khar Nuur. The walk is about 10 kilometers and will take approximately 2-3 hours. Ensure you carry enough water and snacks for the journey, as there are few amenities along the way.
