Once you reach Bayan-Ölgii, head towards Tolbo Lake, which is about 30 km southwest of the town. The last part of the journey may require a 4WD vehicle due to rough terrain.

    From Murun, take a minibus (known as a 'marshrutka') heading to Ulaan-Uul. Buses leave regularly and the trip takes around 3-4 hours. Once in Ulaan-Uul, you will need to hire a local taxi or find a shared vehicle heading towards Bayan-Ölgii. This taxi ride can cost around 20,000 to 30,000 MNT. From Bayan-Ölgii, you can either hire a taxi or arrange a local tour to take you to Tolbo Lake, which is approximately 30 km away. Ensure to negotiate the fare beforehand.
