Car
If you are driving, start from the nearest city, Choiroko. Head east on the main road towards Halha Horoo. After approximately 90 km, you will see signs for Dornod Mongol, which is located at J4H3+727, Halha Horoo. The drive should take around 1.5 hours depending on traffic and road conditions. Make sure to have a reliable GPS or map as some areas may not have clear signage.
Public Transportation
To reach Dornod Mongol by public transport, first take a bus or minivan from Choiroko to Halha Horoo. Buses typically leave every hour and the journey takes about 2 hours. Once you arrive at Halha Horoo, you can either take a taxi or a local bus to the site. Taxis are available near the bus station, and you should negotiate the fare in advance, which will typically cost around 5,000 to 10,000 MNT (Mongolian Tugrik). The taxi ride to Dornod Mongol from the bus station takes about 15-20 minutes.
