Car
If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards the town of Erdenet if you are coming from Ulaanbaatar. Drive northwest on the A3 highway for approximately 300 km until you reach the town of Erdenet. From Erdenet, take the road towards the town of Khüiten and continue for about 50 km. You will then see signs directing you towards Tövhön Hiid. Follow the signs for another 20 km until you arrive at the monastery, located at coordinates 47.0128553, 102.2554805.
Public Transportation
To reach Tövhön Hiid via public transportation, take a bus from Ulaanbaatar to Erdenet. Buses leave regularly throughout the day and the journey takes around 6-7 hours. Once in Erdenet, you will need to take a local minibus (or 'marshrutka') heading towards Khüiten. The minibus ride will take about 1-2 hours. Upon reaching Khüiten, ask locals for directions to Tövhön Hiid, which is approximately 20 km away. You may be able to hire a taxi or arrange for a local guide to take you to the monastery.

If you're in Erdenet, another option is to hire a taxi to take you directly to Tövhön Hiid. Agree on the fare before starting your journey; it typically costs between 30,000 to 50,000 MNT depending on your negotiation skills and the driver. The drive from Erdenet to Tövhön Hiid will take about 40 minutes.
