You will need to take the main road leading to the town of Kharkhorin, which is approximately 200 kilometers away. Follow the signs for Kharkhorin, and once you arrive in the town, look for the signs directing you to Erdene Zuu Monastery. The monastery is located just outside the town at the coordinates 47.2012243 latitude and 102.8409825 longitude. There is no entrance fee for the monastery, but parking might be limited, so plan accordingly.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, first, make your way to the nearest bus station that offers services to Kharkhorin. From the Selenge River Basin area, take a bus or minivan to Kharkhorin; the journey typically takes around 4-6 hours depending on the route and traffic. Once in Kharkhorin, you can either walk or take a short taxi ride to the Erdene Zuu Monastery, which is only a few kilometers from the town center. Taxis are readily available and usually cost around 5,000 to 10,000 MNT depending on your negotiation skills.
