The Majestic 50'100' Landmark: A Glimpse into Ulaanbaatar's History

Getting There

• Walking

  Start at the Zuunmod central square, which is a common meeting point for tourists. From the square, head north towards the main street. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with the main road leading to Ulaanbaatar. This is about a 10-minute walk. Once at the intersection, look for signs that point towards Ulaanbaatar. Cross the road carefully and follow the pedestrian path leading towards Ulaanbaatar.

  After walking about 20 minutes on the path towards Ulaanbaatar, you will come across a bus stop. While you won't be taking a bus, this is an excellent landmark to know you are heading in the right direction. Continue straight for another 15-20 minutes. You will pass by local shops and residential areas, giving you a glimpse of everyday life in Zuunmod.

  As you approach Ulaanbaatar, keep an eye out for the large traffic circle. This is a well-known landmark. Once you reach the circle, take the first exit to the right. You should now be heading towards the area where the 50'100' Landmark is located. Walk along this road for another 10 minutes until you see signs or maps directing you to the landmark.

  Finally, after about 5 more minutes of walking, you will arrive at the 50'100' Landmark, located at the coordinates WV6M+2X9, Ulaanbaatar 16051. Look for the historical marker and enjoy the view and the significance of this landmark.
