The Majestic Commemorative Statue of D.Sukhbaatar: A Tribute to Mongolia's National Hero

Getting There

• Walking

  Start your journey in the center of Zuunmod, near the Zuunmod Town Center. Head north on the main street (Avenue 1) until you reach the intersection with Avenue 2. Turn left onto Avenue 2 and continue walking straight for about 500 meters. You will pass several local shops and cafes. As you continue, look for signs directing you toward Ulaanbaatar, which is about 5 kilometers away. Keep walking straight, and after approximately 15 minutes, you will see the Commemorative Statue of D. Sukhbaatar on your right. The statue is located in a small park area, making it a pleasant stop for photos and reflection.

• Bicycle

  If you have access to a bicycle, start from the Zuunmod Town Center. Take Avenue 1 heading north and then turn onto Avenue 2 at the intersection. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the outskirts of the town. Follow the bike lane along Avenue 2, which will lead you toward Ulaanbaatar. After about 15 minutes of cycling, keep an eye out for the Commemorative Statue of D. Sukhbaatar on your right side. The route is fairly flat and safe for cyclists.

• Public Transport

  To reach the Commemorative Statue using public transport, head to the nearest bus stop in Zuunmod. Look for buses heading towards Ulaanbaatar. Board a bus that indicates it will stop at the Ulaanbaatar station. The journey will take about 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Ulaanbaatar, disembark at the main bus station and walk about 10 minutes east towards the statue. The statue is located in a park near the main road, and you will see it as you approach.
