If you're staying in Big Sky's Meadow Village, start at the Big Sky Resort base area. Head east on Lone Mountain Trail until you reach the intersection with Highway 191. Turn left onto Highway 191 and walk north. Continue along the highway for about 1.5 miles until you reach the junction with the access road leading to Gallatin National Forest. Follow the signs for Gallatin National Forest, which will lead you directly to the entrance.

From the Town Center in Big Sky, take the bike path that leads towards the Big Sky Resort. Follow the path until you reach the intersection with Lone Mountain Trail. Turn left onto Lone Mountain Trail and continue until you reach Highway 191. Turn left onto Highway 191 and bike north for approximately 1.5 miles. Look for the access road signs for Gallatin National Forest and follow them to the entrance.
