Walking
From the Big Sky Town Center, head northeast on Lone Mountain Trail toward Big Sky Resort. Continue on Lone Mountain Trail for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Highway 64. Cross the highway carefully and turn left onto Highway 64. Walk along Highway 64 for approximately 1 mile. You will see a sign for Spotted Elk Road. Turn right onto Spotted Elk Road. Continue on Spotted Elk Road for about 0.5 miles. Historic Crail Ranch will be on your left at 2100 Spotted Elk Rd.
Biking
Starting from the Big Sky Town Center, rent a bike at one of the local rental shops. Begin your ride heading northeast on Lone Mountain Trail. Keep following the trail until you reach the intersection with Highway 64. Carefully navigate across the highway and take a left onto Highway 64. Ride along Highway 64 for about 1 mile. Look for the turn-off for Spotted Elk Road on your right. Turn right onto Spotted Elk Road and continue for about 0.5 miles until you reach Historic Crail Ranch at 2100 Spotted Elk Rd.
Public Transport
Check the local public transportation schedule, such as the Big Sky bus service, for routes that head toward the Historic Crail Ranch area. The closest stop will be at the intersection of Highway 64 and Spotted Elk Road. From there, it is a short 0.5-mile walk down Spotted Elk Road to reach the Historic Crail Ranch, located at 2100 Spotted Elk Rd.
