Public Transit
If you're starting from downtown Billings, walk to the nearest bus stop for the Billings MET Transit located on 27th Street. Take Bus Route 1 towards the Billings Heights. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at the stop near the Billings Logan International Airport. From there, it’s about a 15-minute walk to the Yellowstone County Museum. Head east on Terminal Circle, and the museum will be on your left at 1950 Terminal Cir.
Bicycle
If you prefer to bike, start at Pioneer Park in downtown Billings. Head east on 6th Avenue North, then take a left onto 27th Street and continue until you reach the intersection with Terminal Circle. Turn right on Terminal Circle and follow the road for about 2 miles. The Yellowstone County Museum will be on your right at 1950 Terminal Cir. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow local biking laws.
Walking
For a scenic walk, start at the Billings Depot located at 2310 Montana Avenue. Head east along Montana Avenue until you reach 27th Street, then turn left. Continue walking north until you reach Terminal Circle. Turn right onto Terminal Circle, and the Yellowstone County Museum will be about a mile down the road on your left at 1950 Terminal Cir. This walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes.
