If you are driving, start from Darby, Montana. Head south on US-93 S for about 12 miles. Look for Trapper Main Rd on your left. Turn left onto Trapper Main Rd and continue for approximately 3 miles. You will see the trailhead for Chaffin Creek Trail on the right side of the road. There is a small parking area available.
Public Transportation / Taxi
If you are relying on public transportation, you can take a bus from Missoula to Darby. Once in Darby, you can use a local taxi service to reach Chaffin Creek Trail. Make sure to book a taxi in advance, especially on weekends. The taxi ride from Darby to the trailhead on Trapper Main Rd will take about 15 minutes and may cost around $20, depending on the rate.
