Car
If you are driving from the south end of Gallatin Canyon, head north on US-191 N. Continue for about 20 miles until you reach the junction with MT-64. Turn left onto MT-64 and follow the road for approximately 6 miles until you reach Emigrant. Look for signs indicating Emigrant Gulch, which will be accessible off the main road.

Public transportation options in the area are limited. However, you can take a bus from Bozeman to Livingston. Once in Livingston, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to Emigrant, as there are no direct public transport routes to Emigrant Gulch. The taxi ride will take approximately 30 minutes and cost around $40-$50.

For the adventurous, biking from the southern points of Gallatin Canyon is an option. Head north on US-191 N, which has a shoulder but be cautious of vehicle traffic. The ride will take about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace. Make sure to bring water and snacks, as there are limited stops along the way.

If you're feeling particularly adventurous and are already in the vicinity, walking from the nearest town of Emigrant is possible. From Emigrant, follow the main road leading towards the Gulch. It’s roughly a 2-mile walk that will take about 40 minutes. Ensure you have proper walking shoes and be mindful of traffic.
