Car
If you are driving from a location within Gallatin National Forest, you can take US Highway 191 South towards West Yellowstone. Continue on US-191 for about 30 miles until you reach the junction with MT-72. Take a left onto MT-72 and continue for approximately 20 miles until you reach Nye, MT. Follow the signs for Custer Gallatin National Forest, which is located just outside of Nye.

While public transportation options are limited, you can take a bus from Bozeman to Livingston via the Streamline Bus service. Once in Livingston, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to Nye, which is about 30 miles away. Once in Nye, follow local directions to Custer Gallatin National Forest.

If you prefer to cycle, you can follow the same route as cars. Start on US-191 South and then take MT-72 towards Nye.
