Public Bus
Start at the Kalispell Center Mall, located at 20 N Main St. Board the Flathead Transit bus heading towards Big Arm. It may take about an hour to reach the nearest drop-off point. Once you arrive at the designated stop, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles to reach Big Arm State Park. Follow the road signs directing you towards Big Arm State Park Rd. Enjoy the scenic views along the way!
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local shop such as Glacier Cyclery located at 310 1st Ave W. From there, head west on 1st Ave W until you reach US-93 S. Follow US-93 for about 10 miles, then take the exit toward MT-35 E. Continue on MT-35 E until you reach Big Arm State Park Rd. Turn left, and you will find the entrance to the park. The ride may take about 1.5 hours depending on your speed.
Walking
If you are up for an adventure and don't mind a long walk, you can start from downtown Kalispell. Head south on Main St until you reach US-93 S. Continue walking along US-93 S for about 10 miles. Once you reach the intersection with MT-35 E, turn left and follow the road signs to Big Arm State Park Rd. It will be a lengthy trek of approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, but you will be rewarded with beautiful views of the Flathead Valley.
