    To reach Whitefish Lake State Park from Kalispell, start by taking the Flathead County Transit (FCT) bus from downtown Kalispell. Board the bus at the Kalispell Transit Center. You will want to catch the bus that is heading towards Whitefish. Make sure to check the schedule for the latest times, as buses may not run frequently. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the Whitefish Depot stop. From there, walk west along East 2nd Street toward Baker Avenue. Continue straight until you reach West Lakeshore Drive, then turn left and walk for about 0.5 miles to reach Whitefish Lake State Park.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer to bike, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Kalispell. Start your journey by heading north on Main Street until you reach the intersection with 1st Avenue West. Turn right and continue until you reach Baker Avenue. Turn left onto Baker Avenue and follow it north. This road will eventually lead you to Whitefish. Continue straight until you reach West Lakeshore Drive, then turn right. The park entrance will be on your left after about a mile.

    For those who enjoy walking, you can take a scenic route. Begin at the Kalispell City Park, located at 15th Street West and 4th Avenue West. From the park, head west on 15th Street until you reach the intersection with 1st Avenue West. Turn left and walk south until you hit Baker Avenue. Turn right and continue north on Baker Avenue for about 2 miles. Once you see the signs for Whitefish, turn left onto West Lakeshore Drive and walk about 0.5 miles to reach Whitefish Lake State Park.
