Bus
Start at the Missoula Downtown Transfer Center located at 100 N Higgins Ave. Take the Mountain Line Bus Route 12 towards the 'Rattlesnake.' Get off at the stop at Rattlesnake Dr & 4th St. From there, walk north on Rattlesnake Dr for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Barmeyer Trail. The trailhead will be on your left.
Bike
Rent a bike from a local rental shop such as Missoula Bike Share or a nearby bike shop. Start from downtown Missoula and head north on Higgins Ave, then turn right onto Broadway St. Continue on Broadway until you reach Rattlesnake Dr. Turn left on Rattlesnake Dr and bike for about 1.5 miles. The Barmeyer Trail Trailhead will be on your left.
Walking
From downtown Missoula, head north on Higgins Ave towards Broadway St. Turn right onto Broadway St and continue walking until you reach Rattlesnake Dr. Turn left on Rattlesnake Dr and walk for about 1.5 miles. The Barmeyer Trail Trailhead will be on your left. Be aware of the traffic and ensure to use sidewalks where available.
