Bus
From the center of Polson, head to the nearest bus stop located at the Polson City Hall. Catch the Flathead Lake Bus service heading towards Big Arm. The bus operates on a limited schedule, so make sure to check the timetable in advance. Enjoy the scenic ride along the lake for about 30 minutes, and get off at the Big Arm stop. From there, follow Big Arm State Park Rd for approximately 0.5 miles to reach the entrance of Big Arm State Park.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Polson. Start at the Polson City Park, located near the center of town. Head west on 1st St W towards US-93. Turn right onto US-93 N and continue for about 8 miles. Watch for the sign for Big Arm State Park and turn left onto Big Arm State Park Rd. Follow this road for another mile until you reach the park entrance. The ride is mostly flat with beautiful views of Flathead Lake.

For the adventurous, walking from Polson to Big Arm State Park is possible but requires a solid plan. Start at the Polson City Park, then head west on 1st St W towards US-93. Carefully cross the highway and continue north on the walking trail along the shoreline. It's approximately a 6-mile trek along the edge of Flathead Lake. After about 2 hours of walking, you will reach Big Arm State Park Rd. Turn left and walk about 0.5 miles to the park entrance. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water!
