From downtown Missoula, walk to the South Transit Center located at 1201 Shakespeare St. Catch the Mountain Line bus route 6 towards Lolo. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes. Get off at the ‘Lolo’ stop. From there, it's approximately a 20-minute walk to Holt Heritage Center. Head south on US-93, then take a left onto US-12. Continue walking until you reach 6800 US-12, the location of the Holt Heritage Center.

You can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in downtown Missoula. Start by heading south on Higgins Avenue. Turn right onto Brooks Street and continue until you reach US-93. Follow US-93 south until you get to Lolo. Once you reach Lolo, make a left onto US-12 and continue to 6800 US-12, where the Holt Heritage Center is located. The ride should take about 40-50 minutes, depending on your pace.

If you prefer to walk, the journey from downtown Missoula to Holt Heritage Center will take approximately 2 hours. Start at the Missoula County Courthouse and head south on Higgins Avenue. Continue walking until you reach Brooks Street, then turn right. Walk along Brooks Street until you reach US-93. Cross over and continue south on US-93.
