    Getting There

    Bus

    From downtown Whitefish, walk to the Whitefish Depot located at 500 Depot St. Catch the Flathead County Transit bus heading towards Somers. Make sure to check the bus schedule for departure times. The bus will take you along Highway 93, and you will need to disembark at the stop closest to Somers Beach State Park, which is near the intersection of Somers Rd and Highway 93. From the stop, walk north on Somers Rd for about 0.5 miles until you reach the park entrance at 558 Somers Rd.

    Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Whitefish. Start your journey from the center of Whitefish and head south on Highway 93. Follow the bike lanes along the highway, which will take you directly towards Somers. Continue cycling for about 7 miles until you reach Somers. Once you get to Somers, turn onto Somers Rd and ride for a short distance until you see the entrance to Somers Beach State Park at 558 Somers Rd.

    Walking

    For those who enjoy walking and want a bit of adventure, you can take a scenic route. Start at the Whitefish City Beach and walk along the shoreline towards the south. Follow the trails and paths that lead towards the highway. Once you reach Highway 93, carefully cross it and continue walking south along Somers Rd. It’s a long walk of approximately 7 miles, so ensure you wear comfortable shoes and carry water with you. The park entrance will be on your right at 558 Somers Rd.
