Getting There

Walking
From the center of Whitefish, start at the intersection of Central Avenue and Baker Avenue. Head north on Baker Avenue for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Highway 93. At this point, you can catch the local shuttle or continue walking. If you choose to walk, turn left onto Highway 93 and continue walking for about 1 mile. You will see the entrance to the Whitefish Mountain Resort on your right. Once at the resort, follow the signs for the chairlift that leads up the mountain. The Big Mountain Jesus is located at the top, so take the lift up and enjoy the scenic views as you go. After reaching the top, follow the paths to the east side of the mountain where you will find Big Mountain Jesus.

Biking
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local shops in Whitefish. Start at the Whitefish Bike Shop located on Central Avenue. From there, head north on Baker Avenue and continue to Highway 93. Turn left onto Highway 93 and bike for about 1 mile until you reach the Whitefish Mountain Resort entrance. Follow the designated bike paths leading up to the resort and then take the chairlift to the top of the mountain. Once you arrive at the top, follow the paths to the east to find Big Mountain Jesus.

Public Transit (Shuttle)
For a more convenient option, you can take the local shuttle service that connects downtown Whitefish to Whitefish Mountain Resort. Check the schedule at the Whitefish Chamber of Commerce or your hotel for shuttle times. Once you board the shuttle, it will take you directly to the resort. Upon arrival at the resort, follow the signs to the chairlift and take it to the top of the mountain. Big Mountain Jesus is located on the eastern side of the summit, accessible by walking along the marked paths.
