From downtown Whitefish, walk to the Whitefish Depot located at 100 Depot St. Catch the Flathead County Public Transportation bus (Route 1) heading towards Kalispell. Request the driver to drop you off at the Whitefish Mountain Resort stop. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive, follow the signs to the resort entrance.

Start on Central Ave heading north, then take a left onto 1st St. Follow 1st St until you reach Baker Ave and turn right. Continue on Baker Ave to Big Mountain Rd. Follow Big Mountain Rd, which leads directly to the resort. The walk is about 7 miles and may take around 2 to 3 hours, depending on your pace. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
