From the Old Town of Budva, head east towards the main road (Becici Road). Continue walking along the promenade until you reach the intersection with the main road. Turn right and follow the signs for the St. Ivan Fortress (St John Fortress). You will walk uphill, passing through a residential area and some local shops. The path can be steep, so take your time. After approximately 20 minutes of walking, you will arrive at the entrance to St. Ivan Fortress.

If you are near the Budva Marina, start walking north along the coast. Continue until you reach the Old Town. Once you are in the Old Town, make your way to the main square and follow the path that leads up the hill towards St. Ivan Fortress. The walk will take around 30 minutes, and you will enjoy beautiful views of the coastline along the way.
