If you are starting from the Herceg Novi city center, head towards the waterfront promenade (Setaliste Pet Danica). Walk along the promenade with the sea on your left. Continue walking until you reach the old town area. As you approach the old town, look for the signs directing you to Forte Mare Fortress. The entrance is located near the port area, and you can easily spot the fortress from the promenade.

If you are near the Herceg Novi Bus Station (Autobuska Stanica), exit the station and walk down towards the main road (Tivat - Herceg Novi). Turn left and walk until you reach the waterfront promenade (Setaliste Pet Danica). From there, follow the promenade towards the old town, keeping the sea to your left. Continue until you see the signs for Forte Mare Fortress.

For those coming from the marina area, start by heading towards the main road (Tivat - Herceg Novi). Walk up the hill slightly to reach the old town. Follow the path that leads to the fortress, which is situated on top of the hill overlooking the bay. Look for stone steps that will take you directly to the fortress entrance.
