Walking
If you are starting from the Herceg Novi Old Town (Stari Grad), walk towards the main street, Njegoševa. Head down the street towards the waterfront. Once you reach the promenade along the coast, turn left and follow the waterfront path. Continue walking for about 10 minutes until you see the signs for Forte Mare Fortress. The fortress is located at the end of the promenade, on a hill overlooking the sea.

If you are near the Herceg Novi marina or the local bus station, begin by heading towards the main promenade. Walk along the promenade towards the Old Town, and when you reach the Old Town area, continue towards Njegoševa Street. Follow the directions provided above from the Old Town to Forte Mare Fortress, as it is a straightforward route along the waterfront.

From the top of the Kanli Kula fortress, which is also a popular tourist site, you can walk down towards the Old Town and then follow the previously mentioned route through Njegoševa Street and the waterfront promenade to reach Forte Mare Fortress.
