If you are traveling by car within the Lakes of Plav, head towards the center of Plav town. From the main square, take the road leading towards the Plav Lake. Drive along the lake's shore until you see signs for Hrid Lake. The drive is approximately 15 minutes from the town center. Once you reach the noted turnoff, follow the dirt road uphill for about 2 kilometers, which will lead you directly to Hrid Lake. Be cautious of the rough terrain.

To reach Hrid Lake via public transportation, start from the main bus station in Plav. Take a local bus heading towards the village of Gusinje. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you reach Gusinje, you may need to hire a taxi or arrange a ride with locals to get to Hrid Lake, as public transport does not reach the lake directly. A taxi ride from Gusinje to Hrid Lake should cost around 10-15 Euros.

If you enjoy hiking and are already in the vicinity of Hrid Lake, you can walk from Plav town. Start at the main square and follow the path along the edge of Plav Lake. This scenic route will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Make sure to wear comfortable hiking shoes, as the trails can be uneven. Once you reach the designated turnoff for Hrid Lake, follow the path uphill for an additional 30 minutes to arrive at the lake.
