Getting there

Car

If you are driving, start from the center of Šavnik and head southeast on the M6 highway. Continue on M6 for approximately 32 kilometers until you reach the city of Podgorica. Once in Podgorica, follow signs for the city center. As you approach the center, turn onto Novaka Miloševa street. Independence Square will be located on your left at number 2. Parking is available nearby, but be aware of any parking fees which can range from 0.50 to 1.00 EUR per hour.

Public Transportation

To reach Independence Square using public transport, first, find the local bus station in Šavnik. Take a bus heading to Podgorica, which usually departs every hour. The bus ride will take about 45 minutes. Upon arrival at the main bus station in Podgorica, exit the station and walk towards the city center. Follow the signs or use a map application to reach Novaka Miloševa street. Independence Square is located at number 2, just a short 10-minute walk from the bus station. Be sure to check the bus schedule for returning to Šavnik, as it may vary depending on the time of day.
