Getting there

Car

From Morača, take the E80 motorway heading southwest towards Bar. Continue on the E80 for approximately 50 kilometers until you reach the exit for Bar. After exiting, follow the signs for Stari Bar. Once in Stari Bar, follow the road signs leading you to the Fortress Old Bar, which is located just outside the main town area. Look for parking options near the fortress entrance.

Public Transportation

From Morača, you can take a local bus to Bar. Buses run frequently from Morača to Bar, so check the local timetable for specific times. The journey takes around 1 hour. Once you arrive at Bar bus station, transfer to a local bus or taxi heading to Stari Bar. The fortress is approximately 5 kilometers from the bus station, so using a taxi may be more convenient if you have luggage. The taxi ride should cost around 5-10 euros.

Walking

If you are staying in Stari Bar, you can walk to Fortress Old Bar. From the center of Stari Bar, follow the main road (Ulica 4. Jul) towards the fortress. It is about a 30-minute walk, and you'll see signs directing you as you get closer. The path is uphill, providing some beautiful views along the way.
