Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest major town, Shkoder, Albania. From Shkoder, take the SH1 road towards the Albanian border. Follow the SH1 for about 30 kilometers until you reach the junction for SH22 towards Theth. Continue on SH22 for approximately 24 kilometers. As you approach Theth, look for signs directing you to Bujtina Polia, which is located at 42.412492, 19.768097. Note that the last few kilometers may be on a gravel road; ensure your vehicle is suitable for such conditions.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Shkoder to Theth. Buses usually depart from the main bus station in Shkoder. The journey can take around 2 to 3 hours, depending on road conditions. Upon arriving in Theth, you can either walk or take a local taxi to Bujtina Polia, which is approximately 5 kilometers away from the bus drop-off point. Be sure to confirm taxi availability in advance, as they may not always be readily available.
Walking
If you are already in Theth and prefer to walk to Bujtina Polia, start at the center of Theth village. Head northwest toward the direction of Bujtina Polia, following the trail signs. The trek is about 5 kilometers and will take around 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on your pace. The path may include some steep sections, so wear appropriate footwear and be prepared for a moderate hike.
