From the town of Žabljak, take the M18 road heading south towards Nikšić. After approximately 12 km, turn right onto the R-21 road, which leads you toward the Bukumirsko Lake area. Continue on this road for about 22 km until you reach a fork; take the left path which directs you toward Bukumirsko Lake. The final stretch of the road is a gravel road, so ensure your vehicle is suitable for off-road conditions. Follow the signs towards Bukumirsko Lake, and you will arrive at the lake's parking area.

Begin your journey by taking a bus from Podgorica to Nikšić. Buses run frequently throughout the day, and the trip takes approximately 1.5 hours. Once in Nikšić, transfer to a local bus heading towards the village of Bukumir. This bus service may not run as frequently, so check the schedule in advance. After about 30 minutes, you will reach Bukumir. From the bus stop, it is about a 5 km walk to Bukumirsko Lake. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions to the lake.
