If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the town of Gusinje, which is well connected by road to the surrounding areas. From Gusinje, head southeast on the M2.3 road towards the village of Bukumir. The drive will take you through beautiful mountainous landscapes. Follow the M2.3 for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the fork in the road. Take the left fork to continue towards Bukumirsko Lake. The road will lead you to a gravel path; keep following it for about 5 kilometers until you reach the lake. Make sure you have a reliable vehicle as the last part of the road can be rough.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Podgorica to Gusinje. Buses run frequently and the journey takes about 2 to 3 hours. Once you arrive in Gusinje, you will need to find a local taxi to take you to Bukumirsko Lake, as there is no public transport directly to the lake. Taxis are available at the bus station, and the fare to the lake should be around 15 to 20 euros. The taxi ride will take approximately 30 minutes, and you can enjoy the scenic views of the mountains along the way.
