If you are driving, start from the town of Gjakova in Kosovo. Head southwest on the Rruga e Drenicës toward the border crossing at Bajgora. After crossing into Albania, continue on SH1 until you reach the town of Kukës. From Kukës, take SH22 towards Valbona. Follow the road through the scenic Albanian countryside and eventually reach the village of Valbona, which is the closest settlement to Valbona Pass. Parking is available in Valbona, and from there you can either hike or arrange for a local guide to take you up to the pass.
