If you are driving, start from the town of Gjakova in Kosovo. Head southwest on the Rruga e Drenicës toward the border crossing at Bajgora. After crossing into Albania, continue on SH1 until you reach the town of Kukës. From Kukës, take SH22 towards Valbona. Follow the road through the scenic Albanian countryside and eventually reach the village of Valbona, which is the closest settlement to Valbona Pass. Parking is available in Valbona, and from there you can either hike or arrange for a local guide to take you up to the pass.

Public Transportation
For those relying on public transportation, take a bus from Tirana to Kukës. Buses depart frequently throughout the day from the central bus station in Tirana. The journey takes approximately 3 hours and costs around 800 ALL (Albanian Lek). Once in Kukës, you can catch a minibus or taxi to Valbona. The minibus ride from Kukës to Valbona takes about 1.5 hours, and costs around 1200 ALL. Make sure to confirm the schedule beforehand, as it may vary.
