From the center of Šavnik, head southeast on the main road (E762). Continue for approximately 25 km until you reach the town of Nikšić. In Nikšić, follow the signs for the M-6 road towards the coast. After about 30 km, take the exit towards Perast. Follow the signs to Perast, and once in the town, you will find Fort Šanik located at GP3G+Q36.

From Šavnik, take a bus to Nikšić (check local schedules as they may vary). Once in Nikšić, transfer to a bus heading to Kotor. Inform the bus driver you wish to get off at Perast. The bus ride will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. Upon arrival in Perast, walk towards GP3G+Q36 to reach Fort Šanik.
