From Šavnik, begin your journey by heading southeast on the main road (E762) towards the town of Nikšić. Continue straight for approximately 20 kilometers. Upon reaching the intersection near Nikšić, turn left onto the road towards Kavač. Follow this road for about 10 kilometers until you reach the coordinates CPCX+CP8. The fort is located nearby, and you should see signs directing you to the site as you approach.

Start at the main bus station in Šavnik. Look for buses that head towards Nikšić. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Upon arrival in Nikšić, transfer to a local bus heading to Kavač. This bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes. After arriving in Kavač, you may need to walk about 1 kilometer to reach Fort Vrmac, following the signs or asking locals for directions.
