Walking
If you're starting from the center of Tivat, head towards the waterfront promenade known as 'Obala'. Walk along the promenade until you reach the end of the marina area. From there, you will see a pathway that leads to the hills. Follow the signs that indicate the direction of 'St. Ivan Fortress' as you start ascending the hill. The path is well-marked and surrounded by beautiful views of Tivat Bay. It will take approximately 30-40 minutes to reach the fortress. As you climb, take your time to enjoy the scenic views and take photos.

Public Transport
From Tivat, you can take a local bus that goes towards Kotor. Get off at the stop for 'Špiljari'. Once you exit the bus, look for signs pointing to 'St. Ivan Fortress.' It's a short walk from the bus stop. Head up the hill towards the fortress, which should be visible in the distance. The bus journey will take about 15-20 minutes, and the walk from the bus stop to the fortress will take another 20-30 minutes.

If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Tivat directly to the entrance of 'St. Ivan Fortress'. Taxis are readily available in the city center and at the airport. Ask the driver to take you to 'St. John Fortress, Rd to the Fort of St. Ivan in Špiljari'. The ride will take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
