From the nearest major town in the Anti-Atlas region, such as Tafraoute, take the N10 road heading east. Continue on this road for approximately 25 kilometers. Look for signs indicating the direction to Tamguinguante. After you pass the village of Tamguinguante, keep an eye out for a small road that leads towards the HIGHATLAS View Point. The coordinates for the viewpoint are 31.312091, -7.370157, which can be entered into a GPS device for precise navigation.
Taxi
If you prefer not to drive, you can hire a taxi in Tafraoute or any nearby town. Negotiate the fare beforehand; expect to pay around 300-500 Moroccan Dirhams for a round trip. The taxi will take you along the N10 road to the HIGHATLAS View Point. Make sure to agree on a waiting time, as you will want the taxi to return to pick you up after you spend some time at the viewpoint.
Public Bus
While public transportation options may be limited, you can take a bus from Tafraoute to the nearest village that connects to Tamguinguante. Check local schedules as they can vary. Once you arrive at the bus stop nearest to Tamguinguante, you may need to walk or hire a local taxi to reach the HIGHATLAS View Point. Be prepared for a bit of a hike if you choose to walk the final stretch.
Walking/Hiking
For the adventurous, if you're already in Tamguinguante, you can hike to the HIGHATLAS View Point. The trail is not well-marked, so it’s advisable to have a local guide or use a GPS-enabled device.
