Car
If you are traveling by car within Dades Valley, head to the town of Boumalne Dades. From there, take the road towards Ait Ouglif. The road is well-marked and scenic, with stunning views of the valley. Drive for approximately 30 minutes until you reach Ait Ouglif. Once you arrive in Ait Ouglif, look for signs leading to Canyon des doigts de singe. The canyon is located a short drive from the center of Ait Ouglif, at coordinates F22R+4MQ. Parking may be limited, so arrive early to secure a spot.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take a shared taxi (grand taxi) from Boumalne Dades to Ait Ouglif. The shared taxis leave regularly from the taxi stand in Boumalne. The journey takes about 30 minutes and costs around 15 MAD per person. Once in Ait Ouglif, you may need to negotiate a taxi or walk to the canyon, which is located at F22R+4MQ, approximately 2 km from the main road. Walking is feasible if you are comfortable with a short hike.
Hiking
For the adventurous, you can also hike to Canyon des doigts de singe from Ait Ouglif. From the town center, follow the path that leads towards the canyon. The hike is about 2 km and takes approximately 30-40 minutes. This route offers beautiful scenery and a chance to experience the local environment up close. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes and carry water, as the terrain can be uneven.
