Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the Medina of Essaouira. Head towards the main entrance, Bab Marrakech. Once you exit, turn right and walk along Avenue Mohammed Zerktouni. Continue straight for about 10-15 minutes until you reach the coastal road, Boulevard Mohamed V. Here, you will see the Atlantic Ocean on your left. Walk along the coastline, enjoying the view. Keep walking until you see the Borj El Barmil on your right, which is a historical fortification overlooking the sea. It's a short walk from the main road, and you will be able to see the structure from a distance.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in the Medina. Start from Bab Marrakech and cycle straight along Avenue Mohammed Zerktouni. After about 10 minutes, you will reach Boulevard Mohamed V. Turn left and continue cycling towards the coast. Follow the road until you spot Borj El Barmil on your right. The ride should take around 15-20 minutes, depending on your speed.
