Getting There

  • Car

    If you're traveling by car, start from Marrakech and head south on the N9 road towards the town of Asni. After about 30 kilometers, you'll reach Asni. From Asni, take the turnoff to the right for the R203 road, which leads directly to Imlil. The drive from Asni to Imlil is approximately 17 kilometers and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. There is no toll on this route, but make sure your vehicle is in good condition as some parts of the road can be bumpy.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    To reach Imlil via public transportation, start at the Marrakech bus station (Gare Routière). Look for a bus heading towards Asni. The ride takes about 1.5 hours and costs approximately 30 MAD (Moroccan Dirhams). Once in Asni, you will need to take a shared taxi (grand taxi) for the remaining 17 kilometers to Imlil. The fare for the taxi is around 20 MAD per person, and taxis usually leave once they are full.

  • Shared Taxi

    If you prefer a quicker option, you can also take a shared taxi directly from Marrakech to Imlil. Head to the taxi rank near the Marrakech bus station, and look for a taxi with 'Imlil' on the windshield. The cost for a shared taxi is around 100 MAD per person, and the taxi will leave once it's full. This option is faster and more comfortable, taking about 1.5 hours to reach Imlil.
