If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Haouz and head towards Marrakech. You will take the N8 road towards Marrakech, which is about a 30-minute drive depending on traffic. As you approach Marrakech, keep an eye out for signs directing you to the Medina. Once you enter the Medina, navigate to Rue Assouel. Parking can be challenging in the Medina, so consider using a designated parking area outside the walls of the Medina and walking the rest of the way. The Medresa Ben Youssef is located on Rue Assouel, easily accessible on foot from the parking area.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus or taxi from Haouz to Marrakech. Buses leave regularly from the central bus station in Haouz and cost around 20-30 MAD. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. Once you arrive in Marrakech, you can either walk or take a taxi to the Medina. If walking, head towards the Medina and follow the signs to Rue Assouel. The Medresa Ben Youssef will be on your left as you walk down Rue Assouel. Taxis in Marrakech are relatively inexpensive, with fares starting around 10-20 MAD for short distances.

If you are already in the Medina, reaching the Medresa Ben Youssef is quite straightforward on foot. From the main square, Jemaa el-Fnaa, walk north along Rue de la Koutoubia until you reach the junction with Rue Assouel. Turn left onto Rue Assouel and continue walking for about 5-10 minutes. The entrance to the Medresa will be on your right. Note that the Medina is a maze of narrow streets, so it's helpful to have a map or a navigation app on your phone to assist with directions.
