Getting There

Car
From the center of Haouz, head southeast on N9 road towards Imlil. Continue driving for approximately 30 kilometers, passing through the scenic rural landscapes of the region. As you approach Imlil, watch for signs directing you to Tizi n' Tamatert. Turn left onto a smaller road that leads up into the mountains. The final stretch is about 10 kilometers of winding mountain roads. Be cautious of the narrow paths and occasional pedestrians. There is no toll on this route.

Public Transportation
Start at the central bus station in Haouz and take a bus heading towards Imlil. The fare is usually around 30 MAD (Moroccan Dirhams). The journey takes about an hour. Once in Imlil, get off at the main square. From there, you can hire a local taxi or a mule to take you up to Tizi n' Tamatert. The taxi fare for the short trip up the mountain is approximately 100 MAD. Alternatively, you could trek up, which takes about 1.5 to 2 hours.

If you are already in Imlil and prefer a more adventurous route, you can hike to Tizi n' Tamatert. The trail starts from the main square in Imlil. Follow the signs leading to Tizi n' Tamatert, which will take you through beautiful landscapes. The hike is about 7 kilometers and should take approximately 2 to 3 hours, depending on your pace. Be sure to carry enough water and supplies for the journey.
