Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from the central area of Marrakech, head towards the Medina. Use Avenue Mohammed VI and follow the signs to the Medina. Once you reach the Medina, look for the entrance signs to the Bahia Palace. You can park in a nearby public parking area, such as Parking Koutoubia, which is about a 15-minute walk from the palace. The coordinates for Bahia Palace are approximately 31.6209° N, 7.9841° W. After parking, walk towards Rue de la Bahia and follow the signs to the entrance.

• Public Transportation - Bus

  To reach Bahia Palace by bus, take bus number 1 or number 19 from various locations around Marrakech. Ensure you get off at the stop closest to the Medina. From there, it's a short walk (about 10 minutes) to Bahia Palace. Follow the signs towards Medina and then Rue de la Bahia. The palace is well-signposted once you are in the Medina area.

• Taxi

  For a direct route, consider taking a taxi. Taxis are widely available in Marrakech. Simply inform the driver that you want to go to Bahia Palace (Palais de la Bahia). It is advisable to confirm the fare before starting the journey, which typically costs around 30-50 MAD from most central locations. Taxis can drop you off near the entrance, making it a convenient option.

• Walking

  If you are already within the Medina, walking to Bahia Palace is a delightful experience. The palace is located just a 15-minute walk from Jemaa el-Fnaa square. Head towards Rue de la Bahia, and you will see the entrance ahead. The streets can be narrow and winding, so make sure to have a map or use a mobile navigation app to guide you.
