Getting There

• Public Bus

  To reach La Vallée d'Ourika from Marrakech, start your journey at the main bus station, Gare Routière de Marrakech, located near the city center. From the Djemaa el-Fna square, you can either walk (approximately 20 minutes) or take a taxi to the bus station. Once at the station, look for the bus service to Ourika Valley. The buses are usually marked with 'Ourika' on the front. The journey takes about 1 to 1.5 hours and costs around 20-30 MAD. Enjoy scenic views of the countryside along the way. The bus will drop you off in the village of Ourika, from where you can explore the valley and its villages.

• Shared Taxi (Grand Taxi)

  Another option is to take a shared taxi, known as a grand taxi, which can be found at various locations around Marrakech, including the taxi stand near Djemaa el-Fna. Approach the taxi stand and ask for a ride to Ourika. Grand taxis usually leave when they are full (up to 6 passengers) and will take about 40-60 minutes to reach the valley, with costs typically around 50-70 MAD per person, depending on how many passengers are sharing the ride. This option is faster and more comfortable than the bus.

• Organized Tour

  If you prefer a more guided experience, consider booking an organized tour to La Vallée d'Ourika. Many tour companies offer half-day or full-day trips that include transportation from your accommodation in Marrakech, a guide, and sometimes lunch. You can find these tours online or at local travel agencies in Marrakech. The tours typically depart in the morning and return in the evening, giving you ample time to explore the valley's attractions, including the waterfalls and local Berber villages.
