Cascades Ourika: Nature's Majestic Retreat

Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, head towards Sti Fadma, which is roughly 30 kilometers from Marrakech. Once you reach Sti Fadma, look for signs directing you to the Cascades Ourika. The last few kilometers will be along a narrow road that can be bumpy, so drive carefully. There are parking areas available near the entrance to the cascades.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  From Marrakech, you can take a bus to Ourika Valley. Buses leave from the Marrakech bus station (Gare Routière) and will take you to Ourika. Once you arrive in Ourika, you will need to take a local taxi to Sti Fadma. The taxi ride will cost around 20-30 MAD (Moroccan Dirham). In Sti Fadma, ask the driver to drop you off at the start of the trail leading to the cascades.

• Hiking

  From the parking area in Sti Fadma, you will need to hike about 45 minutes to reach the Cascades Ourika. The trail is well-marked and follows the river, providing beautiful views along the way. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water and snacks for the hike.

• Local Taxi

  If you prefer not to hike, you can hire a local taxi in Sti Fadma to take you to the cascades. The cost is typically around 50-100 MAD depending on negotiation and the number of people in your group. Ensure to agree on a return time with the driver.
