Car
If you are driving from Merzouga, head southeast on the main road Dunes de Merzouga towards Hassi Labied. After about 5 kilometers, you will see signs for Erg Chebbi. Continue on this road, and you will be able to enter the dunes area where you can park your vehicle. Note that some areas may require a 4x4 vehicle due to the sand conditions. Parking is often available at the base of the dunes.
Public Transportation
To reach Erg Chebbi using public transportation, take a taxi or a shared van (called 'grand taxi') from Merzouga town. You can find these taxis along the main street. The fare is typically around 20-30 MAD per person, depending on the number of passengers. The journey will take about 15-20 minutes. Ask the driver to take you to the entrance of Erg Chebbi, where you can then walk to the dunes.

If you are already in the vicinity of Erg Chebbi, you can walk to the dunes. From the main road or your accommodation, head towards the dunes, following the signs. It's about a 30-minute walk from the center of Merzouga to reach the closest dunes. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as it can get hot during the day.
