Head northeast on the main road (N13) for about 10 minutes until you reach the signs for 'Visit Merzouga Desert'. Follow the signs for approximately 5 kilometers, and you will arrive at the desert entrance. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for desert terrain, and consider renting a 4x4 vehicle if possible, as some areas may require it.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Visit Merzouga Desert by public transportation, take a shared taxi from Merzouga village to the nearest drop-off point near the desert entrance. The shared taxi ride will cost around 20 MAD per person and will take approximately 15 minutes. Once you arrive at the drop-off point, you will need to walk for about 1 kilometer towards the desert entrance. Look for local guides who can offer camel rides or tours once you're at the entrance.

    If you are already in the vicinity of the desert and prefer to walk, you can access Visit Merzouga Desert by walking from Merzouga village.
