Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, start from the center of Marrakesh. Head southeast on Avenue Mohammed VI, then continue onto Rue Mohammed El Fassi until you reach the traffic circle. Take the first exit onto Avenue El Mouahidine, which will lead you into the Medina. Look for signs pointing towards Rue el Gza, where Bab Yacout is located. There is limited parking in the Medina, so you might need to park at a designated lot nearby and walk the rest of the way.

• Public Transportation - Bus

  Catch a local bus that heads towards the Medina. Look for routes that specifically mention 'Marrakech Medina' or 'Bab Yacout'. The bus will drop you off near the entrance of the Medina. From there, follow the signs or ask locals for directions to Rue el Gza, where Bab Yacout is situated. The bus fare is usually quite affordable, around 7-10 MAD.

• Taxi

  For convenience, you can take a taxi directly to Bab Yacout. Make sure to agree on a fare before starting your ride, as taxis in Marrakesh do not always use meters. Expect to pay around 20-50 MAD, depending on your starting point within Tensift. The taxi driver should be familiar with the location, but you can also show them the address: Rue el Gza, Marrakesh 40000.

• Walking

  If you are already within the Medina, you can easily walk to Bab Yacout. From Jemaa el-Fnaa, head east along Rue de la Koutoubia and then turn onto Rue el Gza. Follow the street until you reach your destination. Ensure to wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for narrow alleyways and street vendors along the way.
