Bus
From Tetouan, head to the main bus station, which is called 'Gare Routière de Tétouan'. You can ask locals for directions if you're unsure. Once at the station, look for buses heading to Chefchaouen. The ride takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Make sure to buy your ticket in advance if possible, and check the departure schedule. Upon arrival in Chefchaouen, you will be dropped off at the main bus station, which is a short walk from the city center.
Shared Taxi
If you prefer a faster option, you can take a shared taxi (also known as 'grand taxi') to Chefchaouen. Go to the taxi stand located near the 'Gare Routière de Tétouan'. Look for a taxi that has other passengers; this will be more economical. The shared taxi will leave once it has enough passengers, typically around 5. The journey will take about 1 to 1.5 hours. You will arrive at the center of Chefchaouen, making it easy to explore the town.
Walking
If you are already in Chefchaouen, you can explore the town on foot. Make your way to the central square called 'Plaza Uta el-Hammam', which is the heart of Chefchaouen. From there, you can easily find the picturesque blue streets and the famous Kasbah, which is just a short walk away. The town is very walkable, so don’t hesitate to wander around and enjoy the scenery.
