Car
If you are driving from the center of Zaër, head south on Route N8 towards Marrakesh. After approximately 20 kilometers, you will reach Marrakesh. Follow signs for the Medina area and park at one of the public parking lots nearby, such as Parking Koutoubia. From the parking lot, you can either walk to Medresa Ben Youssef or take a taxi. The Medresa is located at Rue Assouel, which is about a 15-minute walk from the parking area.
Public Transportation
To reach Medresa Ben Youssef via public transport, take a bus from Zaër to Marrakesh. Buses leave from the main station in Zaër and typically cost around 20 MAD. Upon arriving in Marrakesh, head to the main bus terminal and look for a local taxi or walk towards the Medina. The Medresa is approximately 1.5 kilometers from the bus terminal. If you prefer walking, it will take about 20 minutes. Alternatively, you can take a taxi directly to Rue Assouel, which should cost around 30 MAD.
Walking
If you are already in the Medina area of Marrakesh, you can easily walk to Medresa Ben Youssef. Starting from the Koutoubia Mosque, head northeast on Rue de la Koutoubia, then turn left onto Rue Assouel. The Medresa will be on your right after a short walk. This route will take approximately 15 minutes on foot.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Zaër directly to Medresa Ben Youssef. Ensure to negotiate the fare with the driver beforehand, as it can vary. Expect to pay around 150-200 MAD for the trip, depending on your starting point in Zaër.
