Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Zaër to Bahia Palace, head south on the N9 road. Continue on this road for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the outskirts of Marrakesh. Once you enter Marrakesh, follow signs to the Medina area. Bahia Palace is located in the Medina, so look for parking options nearby. Public parking is available outside the Medina, and you can either walk or take a taxi to the palace from there. Be aware that parking fees may apply.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  To travel by bus, locate the nearest bus station in Zaër and take a bus heading to Marrakesh. Look for buses that specify they go to the Medina. The journey may take approximately 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive in Marrakesh, disembark at the nearest stop to the Medina. From there, you can either walk or take a short taxi ride to Bahia Palace. Be prepared to pay a small fare for the bus, typically around 10-20 MAD (Moroccan Dirhams).

• Taxi

  Taking a taxi from Zaër is another convenient option. You can either book a taxi in advance or find one at a designated taxi stand. The journey will take about 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Ensure you agree on a fare before starting the trip, as taxis in Morocco do not always use meters. Expect to pay around 150-200 MAD for the ride. Once you arrive in Marrakesh, ask the driver to drop you off at Bahia Palace or near the Medina entrance.

• Walking from Medina

  If you arrive in the Medina area of Marrakesh, you can walk to Bahia Palace. From the main square (Jemaa el-Fnaa), head towards Rue de la Bahia. Follow the signs pointing towards the Bahia Palace. The walk should take around 10-15 minutes. Make sure to ask locals for directions if needed, as the Medina can be a maze of narrow streets.
